Is Altaf Hussain’s Appeal to US Congress another Effort to Realize the Indian Dream of Akhand Bharat?

12.06.2020
Illegal occupation of Kashmir, forced annexation of Junagarh, dismemberment of Pakistan through a bloodied proxy war, supporting anti-Pakistan terrorist groups in Afghanistan, attempts to stall the progress of development projects like CPEC via neighboring borders, launching spy missions in Balochistan and Sindh, and using exiled leaders of these provinces as puppets to demand independence are the steps India has been taking since the eve of inception up till now to denounce independence and to realize her long held dream of Akhand Bharat. The whole trajectory of India stands testimony to the fact that India has always pursued the vision of Akhand Bharat. Primarily, India annexed the independent states after partition and committed grave human rights violations to silence the protests there- this episode is still going on. After that, Indian government dismembered Pakistan via proxy war and Mukti Bahini. Since that day, India has started attacking Balochistan and Sindh. Sometimes via spy networks and militancy, others with the help of exiled leaders.

In a recent move, Altaf Hussain – Pakistani politician and the leader of MQM- appealed US congress to pass a bill for independence of Balochistan and Sindh. He stated, “In the name of humanity I appeal to all the members of US congress to please also table a bill for the independence of Balochistan and Sindh Provinces to save the lives of over 80 million people... 90% of people of Balochistan and Sindh provinces want to have their own independent Balochistan and Sindhudesh.” This statement makes it evident that on whose tune MQM chief is actually dancing. Mr. A. Hussain is the MQM chief and is in self-exile since 1992. He has always been involved in the sub nationalist and subversive politics aimed at weakening Pakistan.

A question arises here why every sub-nationalist leader like Altaf Hussain and Brahamdagh Bugti -fueling the fire of subversion and independence in Pakistan, while using militant tactics- seeks asylum in India?

In 2019, he also sought asylum and financial aid from India in following words, “If India today, and Prime Minister Modi, allow me to come to India and provided me asylum with my colleagues, I am ready to come to India along with my colleagues. If you don't provide us with shelter, give us some influential financial people to come and go to the international court. I have no money so you ask your people to pay the court fees, I will fight alone at the International Court of Justice for Baloch, Sindhis and Muhajirs and all other ethnic-religious minorities.” Hussain’s statement seems to testify the hypothesis that he works for India and Indian interest. This whole case rings a bell for it shares similarity to the case of Brahamdagh Bughti, who has also been self-exiled and reported to have been supported a militant outfit in Balochistan. He too sought asylum from Indian government. A question arises here why every sub-nationalist leader like Altaf Hussain and Brahamdagh Bugti -fueling the fire of subversion and independence in Pakistan, while using militant tactics- seeks asylum in India? It’s because they actually become a puppet in the foreign hands. The other question is why India is involved in this entire saga?

There’s no denying the fact that India has been brewing this cauldron of separatism since long. Indian government propagates the separatist and sub-nationalist movements in Pakistan on the pretext of human rights, while being presently the biggest known human rights violator in South Asian region.

Quest for Indian hegemony is one reason behind supporting these separatist movements in the neighboring states, while the other one is that India never accepted the 1947 partition and kept on nourishing the seed of Akhand Bharat which has always been one of the basic manifestos of RSS. In 1949, the second sarsanghchalak of RSS, MS Golwalkar, in a press conference called Pakistan an uncertain state and further stated, “As far as possible, we must continue our efforts to unite these two divided states…Nobody is happy with Partition.” This view has been affirmed by BJP national secretary Ram Madhav in 2015 as well. The strategy to achieve the goal of Indian domination is to internally weaken the neighboring territory via sub nationalist movements and then establish a pattern client relation by increasing its dependence on India. Once the Indian hold is strong in that territory annex it forcefully and make India united under the saffron rule. The unilateral revocation of article 35A and article 370 pertaining to the special status of Kashmir exemplifies the aforementioned approach.

Therefore, there’s no denying the fact that India has been brewing this cauldron of separatism since long. Indian government propagates the separatist and sub-nationalist movements in Pakistan on the pretext of human rights, while being presently the biggest known human rights violator in South Asian region. From Kashmir to Assam every state under Indian claws has been facing the problems of human rights violations. Anti-minority politics, state sponsored terrorism and saffron posture of BJP regime has accelerated the large number of separatist movements going on in India. It appears that India is facing grave leadership and governance crisis. Therefore, to avoid global shame and to hide its own fragility, Indian government prefers to poke its nose in to the state affairs of other countries and create a false propaganda against them on international media but now this needs to be stopped iron handedly for India aspirations appear to have been exposed well. No matter how many puppets India buy, the world in general and her neighbors in specific know the real saffron face of India.
