President of Peru calls for Intervention in Venezuela

Sunday, 25 September, 2016 - 14:30

Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski called for a “support group” made up other regional leaders to assist in an “orderly transition” of power in Venezuela, abandoning his previous position where he had called for non-intervention in the domestic affairs of other countries.

Kuczynski, who won the presidency with the thinnest of margins and is contending with an opposition Congress, claimed that the UNASUR, which is mediating a dialogue in Venezuela, had “not been able to deliver results.”

He added that he had suggested the idea of a “support group” to U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry during his recent visit to the United States.

Washington wants to organize coup in Venezuela and to establish puppet government.
