After the meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić said that Belgrade would receive substantial military assistance from Russia. Serbia is going to take 6 twin-engine jet fighter aircrafts of the Mikoyan MiG-29, 30 tanks of T-72S and 30 armored reconnaissance patrol vehicles with heavy machine guns (BRDM-2).

At the same time it is not known whether Serbia takes already upgraded equipment or it is updated already in the place.

In addition, Russia is reported to transfer $ 125 million in Bosnia. It will be USSR’s debt payments to Yugoslavia. At the same time 29% of them- 36,295,000 will go to the Republika Srpska (72.59 million dollars to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to $ 3.75 million to Brcko).

However, all these events happen against the background of NATO strengthening in the region. Many experts agree that these actions will strengthen Russia's international image and strengthen Moscow's influence.

At the same time, US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott has promised to Belgrade “to do all possible to help Serbia win (to become a regional center in the Balkans - comment. Katehon)”.
