Spain continues its attempts to create government

Spain's King Philip VI announced the beginning of talks with the leaders of the Spanish political forces in order to contribute formation of the government.

Last Sunday during the congress of The Spanish Socialist Workers' Party its leaders took a decision to stop blocking re-election of Mariano Rajoy, Spain's caretaker prime minister. This decision has become possible because Pedro Sanchez, the Socialist leader, resigned.  Sanchez opposed the coalition, that’s why none of parties could form the majority.

After the creation of the coalition, the Spanish government will be probably formed almost a year after the date of the elections. However, if the party leaders are unable to agree at this time, early election will be held in December, which in some way will have budgetary challenges.
