Syria’s Army Repels Daesh Attack in Deir Ez-Zor

Units of the Syrian Arab Army on Sunday managed to foil attempts by militants affiliated with Daesh to advance in the eastern areas of Deir ez-Zor province, SANA reported.

An army unit clashed with Daesh terrorists that had infiltrated from the direction of the Syrian-Iraqi border to al-Sha’afa village and the town of Hajin on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, killing or injuring all the terrorists.

According to the report, another army unit attacked Daesh militants that intended to sneak to the village of al-Hasarat north of Al-Bukamal, killing the majority of the terrorists and destroying their equipment.
